I was born in Iran and lived there for five to six years.
-
Moving to Canada, I was able to insert myself into multiple social institutions whereas in Iran i wouldn't be able to do so. I was able to get an education and health care.
-
Changing cities was a big deal for me. I didn't know which trajectory to choose from, going to a new place or staying back with our family and friends.
-
High school was where I took my social role as a student more seriously. There was a lot of ups and downs. The role strain mostly came from school stress but my cohort of friends made everything better.
-
When I got a job, there was a big transition from being just a full time student to putting all my focus and energy on work. This caused a huge role conflict and I had to take some time away from school.
-
Going to University would be a big transition from high school. There would be more workload causing role stress. On the upside I would meet new people and more opportunities.
-
I would love to have a career that i am passionate about and have job security in.
-
Hopefully by this time I find a significant other and change my status from single to married. I would love to have everything or mostly everything set during this part of my life.
