    Hurricane Katrina
    Hurricane Katrina occurred in southeastern Louisiana. The hurricane caused 20-30 feet of flooding. 1800 people died due to the effects of the hurricane.
  • Starting soccer

    I started soccer when I was 3. I played soccer for 10 years of my life. Most of them were casual but the last years were in club.
  • First gaming console

    My first gaming console was a N64. My brother owned it and he let me play with it. This was the start of my hobby of gaming.
  • 1st black president

    Barrack Obama was elected as the 44th president in 2008. This would be a major historic event as only 50 years earlier, african americans were struggling to fight for their rights. Obama helped with the easing of the 2008 recession,
  • Great Recession

    Great Recession
    The great recession started to happen in 2006. This was when my parents lost their 10 houses in various locations. We had 2 in Las Vegas, 2 in palm spring, 2 in running spring, 2 in Kentucky, 1 in Kansas, 1 in Ontario. It was caused by subprime mortgages and many companies declaring bankruptcy with no one buying those risky mortgages anymore. The result of the Recession was the creation of the Dodd-frank act in which the federal government will assume control of banks on the verge of collapse.
  • Strep thoat

    When I was 7, i contracted strep throat. I wasn't allowed to go to school. My parents took me to the doctors to get tonsillectomy.
  • Meeting my best friend

    While talking to my friend about video games, a random kid shows up and says he plays too. That was the start of our friendship. Through him, I've met most of my close friends with him included.
  • Osama Bin Laden Killed

    Osama Bin Laden Killed
    Osama Bin Laden was the leader of the terrorist group Al Qaeda. They were responsible for the 9/11 attack. He was then killed in 2011 by Seal Team 6.
  • Serious talk with my dad

    I was jealous at my sister for having late start and i didn't. i complained to my dad all the way to school. He snapped at me saying how no one appreciates what he does. This made me realize how much my parents do for me and how to appreciate them more.
  • Bohol Earthquake

    Bohol Earthquake
    The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.2 and it hit Bohol and Cebu. 200 were dead and 1000 were injured. My family is located near that area and we sent them supplies such as clothes and food to help them out.

  • Boston Marathon Bombing

    Boston Marathon Bombing
    These were 2 bombs that were set off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. The bombs killed 3 spectators and injured 260 other people. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev were the culprit and they died during a shootout with the police.
  • starting middle school

    The transition from elementary to middle school was very tough. There was no more recess, different classes, and no close friends to talk to. I made some acquaintances but no very close friends beginning of 6th grade so i was kind of an outcast.
  • Meeting my life coach

    While at a tryout for a soccer program, a coach was scouting and offered a place on his team. I played on his team and we got to interact more and more. He gave me useful advice about life and how I should do what I want to do and not to let anyone influence you to do otherwise.
  • Dog attacked by coyote

    While trying to sleep, my dad bursts into my room saying that my dog was bit by a coyote. We rushed to the veterinarian. On the way there, my dog was drooling pools of saliva. When we saw him next, he had a giant bite mark the size of his body.

    The election was a major surprise with a woman running for president and a business owner with no political background running for president. Many tried to inform reporters of Trump groping women. People at school were very against trump and when he was elected, most people were upset.
  • California Wildfires

    California Wildfires
    The wildfire season in 2018 was the most destructive recorded in California. Almost 2 million acres were burned to a crisp. During the fire, the sky was a brownish orange. The air reeked of smoke and it made eyes water.
