Finding my love for reading
In 5th grade, I really began to love and appreciate reading. I've always enjoyed reading, but I wasn't able to read for hours until 5th grade. I really began to get immersed in the stories, and if I hadn't gotten into reading, I would be a totally different person. -
1st summer camp

Finishing writing a story
Last year, my friend and I decided to write a story together because we never did anything in science class. I never thought we were going to finish it, but we just kept going, and we finished. It helped me to grow more patient when I do things. -
Friend moving away

Getting my phone
I got my phone for my 13th birthday. I had never had a phone, so I was really excited. I was then able keep in contact with friends I didn't get to see anymore. -
Quitting Band
All my siblings love band; I don't. As soon as I was able to join band, my siblings kind of pestered me to do it. I hated all 3 years of it, but finally I got the courage to quit. This has helped me to follows my passions, rather than what others want me to do. -
Learning how to drive

High school
High school always seemed far off to me as a kid, but now I'm in high school. It's so different and I know that in 4 years I'll have to go to college. To grow up. It's helped me realize that I need to start preparing for the future.
