One day a friend of mine randomly started calling me “lieutenant” and I played along with him. As the days went on I started to notice I've begun to find interest in books or shows and wished to be in it or create a world of my own.

I’ve watched a lot of anime back in the days, especially Digimon and Bleach. My brothers and I were somehow allowed to buy some replicas of the Bleach katana from that series and it made me realize that, although sometimes weird, I enjoy those moments watching anime.

To this day I don’t know how to speak Tagalog and back then I didn’t attempt to try to learn more about my original culture until I went on vacation. It was a new world to me, I was introduced to the culture and the food. -

Me being part of the celebration team in my elementary school made me suck it up and do speeches and such. Drawing for the Christmas show was my biggest accomplishment and felt like I achieved something in my life. -

During a camping trip, as usual, I was alone to my own devices walking around, that’s when a couple of dragonflies landed near me. For some reason, I started questioning my life, before accepting the decisions I've made in the past as I now focus on the future.

One day while doing a specific assignment a deskmate of mine realized that I like DnD and asked if I would like to join them with friends. They were strangers to me but I took the chance and I’m glad I did because it was fun! -

There wasn’t anything to play or watch that was interesting, either it was overrated or not great in terms of plot and gameplay. Then I found Arknights. At first, I thought I’ll get bored of it and quickly leave as I did with the rest of the games/shows I’ve experienced. I was wrong but thankful for it. -

I’ve never seen my art as something to improve on, it was a hobby, not a career path I was looking to take. However, my brother’s friend who’s a Twitch streamer asked me to draw an emote for him. I wanted it to be good since it’s for someone’s real income. That’s when I started getting serious about my art.

Quarantine hasn’t been an issue but there was an impact that was made, both for me and my family. Going through Youtube one day I found a VTuber by the name of Pekora, out of curiosity I watched her. Personally, the best thing that happened to my life, my confidence and unexpected reassurance came out of it. -

Slowly I’ve been breaking out of my shell, working on a multi-collaborative project for a YouTuber was a big leap I took. Most of us were inexperienced and I ended up being one of few in charge of the project. It was hard to find my flow but once I did I felt like I grew maturer and got used to working within a group and other people.
