  • Inquirers

It was one day in math class and I didn't understand how to do this problem that my teacher put on the board. I asked my teacher how to do it and then after I asked, I completely understood how to do it. Then throughout the year, I would always ask questions that I didn't understand or I would ask questions about things I was curious.
  • Knowledgeable

I always read about or hear about real global events that either have a positive or negative effect in the world. I then think to myself about what solutions we can come up with to make those negative effects in the world be gone forever. I remember thinking about all of this in this year.
  • Thinkers

When I was taking a test at school one day, I came across this one problem that I really unsure about. However, I knew I had to be a problem solver and figure out how to solve this specific problem. So, what I ended up doing was I ended up taking what I know based off the question to answer it. I basically used my prior knowledge and understanding to solve this. It turns out that I actually got the problem right!
  • Communicators

It was one hot day in the summer in 2014, when a random person was asking me for directions somewhere. He only spoke spanish, and I was able to understand a little of what he was saying. But being that I knew a little Spanish, I was about to communicate with him and help him get to where he's trying to go.
  • Principled

When I was in school one day, I made a terrible mistake. When I was taking a test, I cheated on it and try to look up the answers on my phone. But little did I know, that the teacher would caught me cheating on a very intricate exam! I knew it was wrong, and I took ownership and responsibility for that. I told myself that I was never going to cheat on a test ever again!
  • Open-minded

I am opened to all cultures in the world and I respect every person and their beliefs.
  • Caring

I showed a caring heart when I was in middle school and I had this friend that was going through a tough break-up in a relationship. I talked to this person everyday to help them get through this tough time for them. Eventually, they got through it and it made me very happy.
  • Risk-takers

I remember this one time when I was faced with a tough challenge. I was doing a chemistry problem in chemistry class that I did not understand. I could've easily asked my teacher to help me, but I wanted to solve the problem by myself and see how I would do. Surprisingly, I got the problem right!
  • Balanced

While I was in school, I was facing a lot of stress with school work and I didn't know what to do. However, I had to become balanced on a emotional and physical level to overcome this stress.
  • Reflective

When I was in 10th grade, I faced a lot of stress in school dealing with school work. At the end of my 10th grade year, I took time to reflect on my year. Overall, I enjoyed my 10th grade year but it was just the school work that made it stressful for me.
