My dad was born(: he was not suspected to be deaf though, but the docter did come up with a reason why he was born deaf. Since there is no deaf people in my dad's family, it was not inherited, but when his mom was pregnet with him, she got a really high fever which affected his ears in the womb. So when he was born, he was completely deaf.
