    The Parthenon
    The Parthenon was a former temple that was built for Athena because everyone considered her a Greek god. After the Ottoman Empire, in the late 1460's they turned it into a mosque. On September 26, 1687, the Parthenon was ignited by Venetian bombardment which caused the Parthenon to be damaged and many of the sculptures and architecture inside to be ruined.

    Ottoman Greece was made up of many different types of cultures such as; Jews, Italians,Armenians, Serbs, Albanians, Gypsies, and Bulgarians. It was part of the Ottoman Empire. The period on Ottoman rule impacted the Greek society in many different ways. Greece was under Ottoman Rule. Also while Greece was under Ottoman Rule many wars were fought.

    The Greek War of Independence was also known as Greek Revolution.They had the Greek Revolution and it was against the Ottoman Empire and overall it was very successful. It was between 1821 and 1832.

    The Russian Empire was one of the biggest empires in worlds history. It lasted from 1721-1917. The Russian Empire was expanded over many continents. The rise of the Russian Empire happened when they defeated their rival powers. The Russian Empire played a huge rule in the process to destroy Napoleon's ideas to take over all of Europe. There were also many leaders of Russia that had to make sure the country that their country was running the way that it needed to.

    Nicholas II of Russia was the very last emperor of Russia. During his time of rule he saw the collapse of Imperial Russia. Also during that time Russia fell into serious political and economic collapse. Because of that Nicholas II was not liked by his fellow people. Russia then had many conflicts between many other countries. They didn't really know what to do. That led to the first world war.

    World War 1 started when the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The war started on July 28, 1914 and ended on November 11, 1918. The war drew in all of the worlds economic powers. It was against the Allies and the Central powers. World War 1 ended in an Allied victory. The Great War also ended all of the empires that were around. It also led to the establishment of the League of Nations.
