First Day of my Freshman year--start of new friendships :)
Met Sydney Hawkins and other people I already somewhat knew in CAMP. -
First, it was my birthday. The day after testing meant party day at school, so I got to hang out with the cast and crew of The Drowsy Chaaperone!! Although, that night when it was time to eat some cake...we found out that my Great-Grandma died that morning.
-
Learned about the T-REX formation.
T stands for Truth, R for Responce to Prompt, E for Evidence, and X for Explaination.
This became my least favorite new writing style that I gave up as the year went on.
Date Horribly Guessed At -

Show Off-The Drowsy Chaperone
The Drowsy Chaperone was Benton's first musical in a decade! I worked back stage as an assistant director (AKA: ASS), and even had a small part bringing in props during the song Show Off. -
Spent Christmas/Winter break with my family. Got Batman Converse as a Christmas gift from mom and dad. Now I wear them everywhere!
-
Sydney Hawkins and I talk on facebook chat. She tells me she watched Fullmetal Alchemist (something I told her to watch and talked about before that day). Our friendship just got even closer.
-
"Life is like cupcakes. Its sweet and delicious, but when it's gone, everyone is sad."
To me, this truth means that life is short and sweet, but when a life ends, someone is always going to be upset. -
Learned about how to re-write a story and make it your own. Also learned about due dates (thanks to the crazy amount of kids who didn't turn their story in on time).
One of my favorite assignments. I got to be original! *Day the story was officially done and posted on The Learning Banana (my edublog). -
Opening night for Benton's production of The Brother's Grimm Spectaculathon! I played Gretel from the classic children's fairy tale Hansel and Gretel.
-
Second "Girl's Night" at Ally's House. Got even closer of friends with all the girls there-watched movies and played games. Girl's Night shall forever remain infamous amoung girls involved in theatre!!!!
-
Went to the KC Zoo with my parents. Took picture with a sheep to prove that I was no longer afraid of them (looooong story from when I was a baby okay!?). Scary Evil Mean Sheep was the closest so I posed with him....he head-butted my head away. Later he went on a rampage head-butting small children to the ground. This proves that sheep are one step closer to their goal of world domination. They don't like me because I know that they're hiding weapons of mass distruction under that wool.
-
Learned about dialogue in a story. This was only somewhat helpful to me, because I already knew how to write dialogue (having done that many times before in stories).
-
Spent Easter with my family having to hunt for both Easter Eggs and Manga. Got Sims Medieval and played the crap out of that game for the whole day until the computer crashed and I cried and cried because I kept forgetting to save my game.
(Video games and manga are kind of like a hobby to me....) *Btw-The picture of is of a Peteran Priest in Sims Mediveal. I thought the screenshot was perfect for my reaction to my dad's computer crashing--WHY, OH WHY DIDN'T I SAVE MY GAME?! -
War Story finished. Few days later-finishing touches added to completely finish story. Will eventually come up with name for story during class before final product is printed.
-
Spent the weekend at my best friend's house. I hadn't seen her in about 2 months, so we partied as much as two teenage girls could do without doing something stupid and illegal (basically just going on walks and the mall and having a bonfire with her sister and some other people) :)
-
Went fishing with my dad and best friend (Katie Ohnesorge). Katie and I didn't catch any fish that day, but I did find a giant hole, which reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.
My dad was the only one who caught fish. He caught four, two of them being giant bluegills, one a cute little tiny fish, and another was a small bass. -
Learned about dedication and acknowledgement pages. I finally got to give proper credit to all the people who helped me throught the writing of my story. We learned about different styles of acknowledgements and got to pick which one we wanted to use for our stories. Picture-It stands for help, and friendship--something I felt very improtant when writing my dedication and acknowledgement.
