Birth

Napolean was born in 1769 in Corsica, which is an island in the Meditteranean Sea. He came from a poor family, but he was very smart and recieved a scholarship to a military academy in France.

Promoted to Captain

According to the the textbook, Napolean rose quickly through the ranks to Captain.

Becomes Commander of the French army in Italy

He is appointed this by the Committee of Public Safety

Returns to France as a hero, asked to carry out invasion in England

He knew that the French could not take Britain, so instead, he attacked them indirectly by attacking Egypt.

Recognizes Catholicism as official Religion

He came to an agreement with the Pope and then recognized that the official religion of the French People is Catholicism.
