I was enrolled in lessons at 4. I don't remember my first lesson. That doesn't matter because it was a beginning of a new chapter. -
Before the stroke according to my mom we used to play soccer, I don't remember this. He was in the hospital for weeks and I remember. Every Thursday my mom and I would go to the hospital and visit him until he went home. After the stroke, he talked slow and softly and he started to walk the cane. -
I begged my parents for a little brother or sister because my grandma convinced me. Finally when my brother was born I was disappointed. I thought I was getting a playmate not a baby and it was a boy! I wanted a girl. My grandma said to ask my parents for a sister, but I said no. No more baby siblings for me. -
Our family friend Carmencita was battling cancer ever since by brother was 1. She lost her hair and gain curly red locks. Then, she was emitted to the hospital and lost her hair again. I couldn't see her and neither could my brother because you had to be 12 or older. After, she died. -
I had always be lukewarm about my faith. When man things happen that made my life complicated, God called me and asked me to be closer to him. I did and after that day I emotionally became a woman. I also became a woman of faith. Knowing exactly what happen would be looking into my life for years. -
We had already given Penny and Patches away to my Aunt (due to the death of Smokey, to give Zoey company and because we couldn't give them the love they needed). Penny health began to decline and she died. Leaving her daughter Patches alone. (Picture is not the real Patches, just something from Google) -
My Cousin made me a dama (bridesmaid) for her quincaeñera (sweet 15). I got to wear a dress and got to sit at the "royalty" table. I did dance and never got the sweater from the dance back. The best part of sitting at the "royalty" table is that you get to eat first! -
The first lockdown was more of a break for me. I got to see my classmates through my computer. When the 2nd and 3rd hit most of my classmates went in-person school there was only a few classmates with me. I felt "alone" even though I was alone. I missed the interaction. -
My grandma fell from the stairs and went to the hospital to get a hip replacement. Due to COVID-19 I couldn't see her neither could most of the family. To get my mind off I painted the picture to remember the veterans. -
I finally got to see my classmates after a long long time. I didn't get to talk to them. My ceremony was great. This would be last day of the "old" school and the beginning of a new school with only a few people I knew.
