My Timeline

  • Birth

    Birth
I was born this day 25 years ago! Nothing interesting happened historically, but I think I share a birthday with Antonio Banderas (and Herbert Hoover).
  • 9/11

    9/11
I was living in Colorado and in seventh grade when the planes flew into the World Trade Center. I remember all of the school's tv's were tuned into the news and it was all over the radio as I got ready for school. I had no idea what any of it meant.
  • Graduated High School

I graduated from Thunderbird high school. My best friends were Amanda and Jessica. I would soon be moving in with Jessica and that wouldn't turn out so well.
  • Begin classes at ASU

My parents were really excited to see me going back to school. They themselevs never completed college and I was on track to be the first of our family to graduate college.
  • Moved to North Carolina

Moved myself 3,000 miles from Pheonix, Arizona to Durham, North Carolina to live with my now ex-fiance. It was Mother's Day. I waited until the last minute to tell my parents I would be moving across the country because I was afraid they would be mad. My parents are very religious and living with a man unmarried was a no-no.
  • Mugged and fiance shot

Two days before my 20th birthday my ex-fiance and I were coming back from the gas station when we were mugged which resulted in a gunshot wound to the abdomen of my ex. My ex survived and the man who mugged us was caught a year later and we went to trial a year after that. The man recieved two consecutive sentences totaling 15 years in prison.
  • Moved home

I called it quits with my ex-fiance after 5 years together. I moved home to live with my parents and rebuild my trust in people and focus on what I really wanted out of life. A Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded for research of the immune system. Meanwhile the Occupy Wall Street protest was going on in New York.
  • Daemon was born

    Daemon was born
17 hours of labor and my massive 8lb baby was born. There's nothing better than the sound of his laughter and nothing more rewarding than the first time you meet your child. Second day of Rosh Hashana (my parents are Jewish).
  • Married my husband

    Married my husband
Married my soulmate. Life came at us a little mixed up and out of order, but I wouldn't change a thing. We were joined in a courthouse with only the intimate grouping of our parents and our newborn to watch. On this day, a former Navy member shot and killed 13 people when he opened fire on a base in Washington, D.C.
  • ASU (again)

After taking several years off of school, I started back up to complete my degree. Ebola is frightening the country and the Ferguson issue is exploding.
