This was an exciting for my parents even though they were teenagers still in high school. This is the ony photo of the three of us together. The relationship was short lived.

My grandparents became my guardians and really helped to develop me by developing a daily routine, putting me in preschool, and making sure I had proper care overall.

I moved to Arizona with my mother and realized I was different. I stuck out like a sore thumb! This is when I started to learn more about my culture. I didn't really think about race before this time.

My brother was born and began to take care of him as if her were mine.

My first job was at the daycare where my brother attended. I worked there on and off for 5 years. This is when I really realized I could become a teacher.

I graduated from Mountain Pointe High school. Two weeks after, I moved into my own place. This was also the first time my father had been to Arizona or visited me ever! Usually I went to Missouri to see him.

Started my college career at South Mountain Community College and I was in the teaching program there.

I married my best friend!

My son was born. My life changed forever!

My daughter Aliyah was born and I thought that I had just cloned myself!

My daughter Aubree was born. At this time I was a stay at home mom with three children age three and under.

I enrolled in school at Rio Salado and began my journey to becoming a teacher.

My baby girl Aniyah was born.

I became the lead teacher in the nursery classroom at my church.

I became the Director of the Summer Camp Program at my church.

I got accepted in to ASU!

I became a tutor for America Reads at the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
