I was born on September 24th, 1998 at the RAH. I am my parent’s first child and I am also my paternal grandparents’ first grandchild. My birth came as a surprise because my due date was actually in October -- meaning I was born three weeks premature.

During the first four years or so of my life, my parents and I lived in the basement of my grandparent’s house so that they could save up for their own house. When we moved out of their place, it was a big change for me. We were moving to an entirely different part of the city -- to a new developing area.

I started Kindergarten at BK School in 2003. I was very shy but it did not take me too long to make friends. I remember that soon after I started school, I asked my parents to teach me to memorize our home phone number in case of emergencies. I actually wanted to know our phone number so I could call my friends and set up play dates.
