My Life on a Map (The Countdown to Extinction)

  • The Day I First Ever Breathed Oxygen on Earth.

I was a very hairy baby, still have a lot of hair on my head to this day. I was going to be named Alejandro or Lucio like my grandfather, but I was instead named Alfredo after my dad. I'm a junior!
  • I Learned How to Walk!

My mother would talk (brag) about how early I actually learned how to walk. With the aid of walkers and my parents, I actually accomplished something really cool due to some babies taking longer to learn how to walk
  • My First Birthday

I am now one year old. I was a big baby, and still hairy.
  • Elementary Culmination

    Elementary Culmination
The culmination ceremony consisted of a really horrible recorder instrument concert and it wasn't pleasant. This was finally my transition to middle school, and I was expecting some great times in the near future.
  • My First Communion

Although I had to go through Bible studies due to indoctrination, I still thought this day was pretty cool. Apart from the first communion, I had a party after it with tons of family which was super fun.
  • I Met a Good Friend in Middle School.

Her name is Adelaida, and she was most of my support all throughtout until she moved to LA in 7th grade. Sadly we've been a little distant for a while, but I plan to speak to her again soon.
  • Took a Piano Class for One Year

Took a Piano Class for One Year
In Middle School, I had multiple options of electives to take. I took piano in order to get familiar with classical music and gain more instrument skill. It turns out that this choice was the starting point in my understanding of music theory.
  • Took a Band Class For One Year

Took a Band Class For One Year
Yet again I had multiple choices, I had signed up for guitar but that never happened. Instead, I took a year of band playing the trombone and I was pretty decent, at least according to the band teacher Mr. Nava. This aided me further in understanding music theory.
  • The day I culminated from Dana Middle School.

The day I culminated from Dana Middle School.
It was a very special day for me, I had just recovered from a massive drop in my grades and I quickly turned my attitude around and I got my work done plus more in order to be capable of culminating. It truly was a turning point in my attitude towards school, and I still try my hardest to be a good student.
  • The Year I Decided to Learn How to Play Guitar.

The Year I Decided to Learn How to Play Guitar.
It had been three years since my grandfather had died, and I never met him. I would hear my mother talk about how he was such a great vocalist and a very good guitar player. Every song that he composed was always related to my mother or his family, and that inspired me to continue what he started. My mother had bought me an affordable guitar that came from the shop right in front of the school, and I eventually learned how to play the guitar.
  • The Year I Realized That I Lost My Faith.

After attending 6th-grade science class, I now knew so many answers to the questions I had that religion could not answer without me questioning it. I had realized that these things did not add up, and aside from my hatred of Wednesday church school, I decided to myself that I did not want to continue believing in a religion with the respect of the viewpoints of others.
  • First Day Attending High School

    First Day Attending High School
I was extremely nervous about attending Baxter High due to it being a new and different school, and the typical grade change nervousness. It turned out to be a very good freshman year, met new friends, and got used to the school environment. Sophomore year however...
  • My First Electric Guitar

    My First Electric Guitar

First Concert (Of Mice & Men, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot)
My first ever concert was a very special time to me. My sister and I went to go see my one of my favorite bands, Slipknot. What was better was that they had two special guests which made it so much better.
  • I Received A Classical Guitar on my Birthday

I Received A Classical Guitar on my Birthday
I had told my mother that I did not want to have a birthday party and that I wanted to be alone, I was really heartbroken after a hard breakup and I wanted time to myself to reflect on myself. I came home from buying shirts with my sister and when I walked into my living room. My mom was waiting for me at the kitchen table and next to her on the couch was a Hohner Classical Guitar, and it was probably the best birthday I've had so far.
  • Baxter Spring Dance

I had decided after much convincing to go to the Spring Dance at Baxter with some friends. It turned out to be a very good time and I'm looking forward to another dance soon.
  • A New Relationship

    A New Relationship
After a history of failed relationships, I now have a new relationship with a wonderful person. What's different about this relationship is that I can actually feel that the other person actually cares about me, and it feels really good finally knowing and feeling that.
