I was born on the fourth of july, the same date as American independance day. I like where my birthday is as it is in the middle of christmas last year and christmas next year. It also allows relatives to buy more expensive presents as its positioned in the end of financial year sales.

I was sitting on my bed with my sister and my mum when I mumbled my first word. We can't remember if it was the word "was" or the word "wide" or some other word beggining with w. I think it was "wide" as I can remember trying to describe my bed at the time.

When I was about 1 and a half, there was a minor tremor near our house. Nothing much happened but it made tiny crinkles in our hall carpet. we recently had new carpet layed down and we noted that the capet was 2cm shorter than the original carpet!

This was also the first time I had travelled interstate. My mum and I did a trip around Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth to visit some of her friends.

Before I came to Hutchins I went to Oatlands District High School (ODHS). The school was quite small. it had mixed grades such as grade 3/4 classes as well as girls and boys. Out of the 20 people in my class, only 5 were boys my age.

Early on, I didn't have anything to do at home. In grade 1 we were allowed to go to the local library to borrow books for the first time. This became my hobby ober the next few years, and I still enjoy it now, although my love of cumputer games ha ve subdued it a bit...

In grade three I had the highest score for maths in the state and recieved this medal. It was also the first Medal I ever got. It was one of the biggest awards my little school had ever got and it was awarded at the and of year assembly. (In the gym.)

This was my first day at hutchins. It was also the first day I had ever done homework! The first thing I noticed was how much bigger it was compared to my old school. From 5 people to 60 is a big leap.

After a two year gap I again won the medal for maths. Compared to the large presentation at the end of year assembly at my old school it wasn't quite as exiting but I felt it was an achievement none the less.

This ICAS medal I got was for science, unlike the first two.
