Alyssa was born
My little sister was born and I went from being the youngest and only girl to having to share all of my belongings. It was a huge difference when my sister was born. My parents did not treat me or my older brothers any different, but I was not used to having somebody around that was younger than me. Having a younder sister had a great influence on my life because as we got older I really appreciated having her around. -
Violin
I started playing the violin. This had an impact on my life because I started off playing just because my brother played the clarinet. After the first practice I really enjoyed it, so I stuck with it. I met a lot of people while playing and even found it to be a stress reliever. -
My Family moved
In 2005 my family moved to Chicago from another city in Illinois. This had an impact on my development because living in Chicago was completely different than living in a small town. -
We moved back to Rock Island
My family moved back to Rock Island from Chicago. This changed my life because I reconnected with a great deal of people that I had not seen in a long time. This is how I met my best friends. -
Met my boyfriend
I met my boyfriend while in high school and we have been together ever since. This had an impact on my life because no matter what he has always been there, so its been nice to have somebody that has never left my side. -
Jalyssa was born
My first niece was born. This had a significant impact on my life because this was my first time becoming an aunt to a child who lived close by. My brother and I are very close and when Jalyssa was born she was very very sick and almost passed away, so as she got older and was okay, I spent as much time with her as possible. Her birth changed my perspective a lot. -
Nationals
I placed 9th in the nation for high jump at my first univeristy. This event had a significant impact on my life because it was a goal that I always wanted to accomplish. -
Jayda was born
My second niece was born. This had a great influence on my life because from the moment I found out my sister was pregnant I wasnted to give the baby the world. I strive to be a better person so she can view me as a positive role model when she gets older.
