My Life

  • The day I was born

I was born in Montgomery, Alabama. My dad was in the military and we stayed there for around 3-4 years before moving.
  • Pepper was born

My mom got a call from a friend down the street saying to come over and that they had a birthday present for her. So we all went down there to our surprise that they had gotten us a miniature schnauzer puppy. My dad was adamant against keeping her but he saw how excited me and my brother were. So we took her home and she became a beloved member of our family.
  • Moved to Japan

After living in Alabama my dad was stationed in Misawa, Japan. I started school on base there and I learned sign language as well as some Japanese.
  • Moved back to the United States

My dad left the military and we moved back to Arizona and stayed with my Grandpa for a while until we found a house. I had a hard time adjusting to public school and not having any friends.
  • Bought a house

My family had finally gotten enough money to build a house. We were all really excited and my parents were glad to make the next step in their life.
  • First day of 8th Grade

I didn't know anyone at my school, and I felt like an outsider all day. I sat in my classes just staring out the window or spacing out. But then in my last class for the day, I met Keeley. Who soon became known as my best friend. Since the day I met her, my life has changed for the better and I wouldn't trade what we have for anything.
  • State Championship

The first year I had done track and field, I was very scared because I had never done track before but my friend convinced me to join. It was worth it. I went to state and I got first in all my races, even the relays.
  • Got my driving permit

I had studied for weeks to prepare myself for the test. I was super nervous because I had no idea what it would be like. But I had nothing to worry about because I passed with flying colors.
  • Pepper was diagnosed with cancer

We took Pepper to the vet and only to find that she a tumor in her mouth. We were told that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and that the only thing we could do at this point was put her down. This crushed me and I couldn't believe I was going to lose her.
  • Pepper passes away

My mom's bet friend came over that day and we were all trying to stay optimistic but we all had the same feeling underneath. Pepper got to eat chocolate and cheese before we put her down because we wanted her die happy. She was the most important thing in my life and I'm glad she had a good life. But sad that I couldn't have spent more time with her. She will always be in my heart.
