Birth
I was born on January 11th 2006. I was supposed to be born on January 7th. My parents are Lisa and Jeffery Schmitt. I was the first generation on both sides of the family, so everyone was very excited. January 11th is also the birthday of several famous people, including Alexander Hamilton, Mary J. Blige, and Naomi Judd. -
My Brother was born
My Brother, Joshua Schmitt was born on March 2nd 2008. I was not excited about getting a brother, but everyone else was. He was the second born of our generation on both sides of the family. I was 2 years old when he was born. Joshua is now a freshman in high school and is coming to Lutheran Northwest next year. -
First time riding a horse
The first time I rode a horse I was 3 years old. My family went up north to my great grandmas cabin, and we had walked down the street to feed the neighbors horses apples. The owner came out and asked if I wanted to ride one, and I said yes of course! So the guy put me on this little pony named barney and I loved it! 14 years later, and horses are now my passion, pride, and joy. -
Learning to Ride a Bike
Me and my brother both got bikes on March 30th, 2010. We rode them up and down our street for hours. To this day, we still have our first bikes in our garage. My family loves to go on bike rides all the time. In the summer, sometimes we will have mandatory family bike ride time, and ride for like 10 miles. -
First Day of Kindergarten
My first day of Kindergarten was September 7th, 2011. I went to Barnard Elementary School, which is in the Troy school district. I went there for 2 years before I moved. I was the last class to have half day kindergarten. That was also my brothers first day of preschool. -
Moving
We moved from our house in the Troy school district, to our current house in the Avondale school district. My great grandma lived in the house, but when my great grandpa died she was struggling to take care of it. It was a big house for one person to manage, so we moved in with her. My great grandpa built the house for my great grandma and my mom grew up going to that house all the time when she was a kid. When my great grandma died we inherited the house and still live in it today. -
Lily Joins the Family
On April 24th, 2016 we got my dog Lily. Lily is a golden doodle and we got her at 6 weeks old. She loves tennis balls and swimming in the pool. I taught her a ton of tricks including, play dead, high-five, jump through a hula hoop and more. Lily is our second dog, we used to have a boxer named Dude. -

Horseback riding lessons
From April 26th, 2018 till the current, I have been taking horseback riding lessons. Horses are my passion and my dream job is to be a horse trainer. I am currently on the IEA Equestrian team. I compete in the hunter jumpers. I do not have my own horse because I pay for everything horse related, so all my lessons and competitions. -
I Decided to Follow Christ
I decided to dedicate my life to Jesus on Christmas. I did this because I wanted to give him a birthday present for his birthday. My thoughts were, there is no better present then giving him my whole heart, so that's what I did that day. I said the prayer with my parents before we opened presents and I was saved. I later professed my faith to the church by being baptized. -
Rosie Joins the Family
I got my Rabbit, Rosie, on Christmas. This was right after I decided to follow Jesus, like 5 minutes after. I had been asking for a bunny for awhile, but my parents refused. They eventually gave in and I was so happy I cried. I still have Rosie to this day. -
Baptism
I got baptized on January 20th, 2019. All my family and friends came to Woodside to watch me. I got baptized by Joe Crabb, the youth pastor. It was on this day that I got to profess my faith to the Church. It was a very magical moment. -
Hannah Joins the Family
I got Hannah, my hedgehog, on April 14th, 2020. I also got my best friend a hedgehog too. Her mom probably hates me because I gave Eden a hedgehog and a turtle. I turned her 1 pet household into a 3 pet household. Hannah was the sweetest hedgehog ever, but she ended up dying after a few months because she tried to hibernate. Turns out, hedgehogs are really hard to take care of. -

My first job
I got a job at a horse barn and have been working there ever since. This job has taught me so much, and I am constantly learning more by working there. I usually take care of about 40 horses. This includes things like feeding, watering, giving them hay, turn in and turn out, medicine, and so much more. It is not an easy job, but it is definitely a fun one! -
Officially a Licensed Driver
I got my License on April 6th, 2022. This was a very exciting day because it was no longer a hassle to ask my parents to drive me everywhere. However, this also meant I had to drive my bother around everywhere which is really annoying. I hated driving at first cause my parents would always yell at me, but now I love it and I drive everywhere. After I got my license, I started looking for a car to buy. -
My Second Job

My Second Job
I started working at a dog kennel, and to this day I still work there. I feed the dogs, give them water, play with them, give them their insulin shots if needed, or any other medication, and so much more. It is super convenient because it is close to my house. It is a super fun job, and I get to be outside all the time. I basically get paid to play with dogs, it really can't get any better then that. -

Drummond Island
My family went up north to Drummond island for the weekend and we got to stay in my aunts cabin. We rode on four-wheelers and motorcycles all over the island. The trails that we went on were some of the hardest ATV trails in the country. We rode over 100 miles that weekend, and had a blast. We even got to ride to a big cliff, called marble head, and it was really hard to get to. -

Bought a Car
On August 11th, 2022 I bought my car! I named him Randy. Randy is a 2015 Chevy Cruz. I detailed him myself when I got him, and he is my baby. Randy gets me everywhere I need to go and its so nice to have him. -
State Honors Choir Concert
Me and Montrell were selected to go to MSVMA State Honors choir. We were the only 2 people from Avondale to go, and only 190 high school students in Michigan made it. You even had to buy tickets for our concert, and we sang in the Devos Place in Grand Rapids. It was super fancy and a phenomenal concert. I can't wait to try out again next year! -

Switched Schools
I switched schools on March 2nd, 2023. This was a big change for me, and it was weird walking into a building full of kids and not knowing anyone, but its definitely better then my old school. I have never been in a private school before, I've always been a public school kid. So far its been a smooth transition. My brother is going to come here next year too. -

Wake Winter Weekend
The Wake Winter Weekend was a weekend up north with my church. The high schoolers went up to Timber Wolf Lake and spent the weekend having fun and worshiping the lord. It was a life changing experience. We got to bond with our small groups and also encounter the lord. You could clearly see the lord working through everyone throughout the weekend and it was an awesome experience. -
