    Summer
We would spend the whole summer at our sheepcamp, with our cousins and uncles. We often spent the whole day riding our horses around the mesa, climbing rocks. Enjoying our freedom from school.
  • Warren's Death

Over the years I became close with my uncle Warren. He became like an older brother figure to me. When he died unexpectedly, my world came crumbling down.

    A Family Friend
A very good family friend helped me deal with my depression. My mother had grown up with her daughter, so she knew what I was going through. She answered all my questions and listened to my problems. Not judging me, but was trying to understand what I was going through.
  • Be Strong

    Be Strong
My aunt had past away unexpextedly. No one thought that she would die that young. I knew I had to be strong for my cousin, who had lost her mother. I didn't want her to go through what I did, when I lost my uncle.
  • Parents Separate

    Parents Separate
When my parents separated, it effected my little siblings mostly. It was just too much for them to go through. But my parents didn't see how it effected them. I became like a 2nd mom to them, making sure that they stayed caught up in school.
  • After High School

    After High School
After High School, I moved in with my aunts to get away from the drama. They have encouraged me to go back to school, and get my diploma.
