We have an add pattern happening in my family. I was born on May 14th, and my younger brother was born on April 14th. My mom was born on April 21st and her brother was born on May 21st!

I went to SUNY Fredonia for my undergraduate degree. I obviously had to bring my fish with me!

During my undergraduate experience, I was given the opportunity to study abroad in Belize Central America. While I was there I taught in the only government funded special education school in the country, called Stella Maris. It was also known as the Belize Academy for the Deaf.

I loved my experience in Belize so much that I went back in 2016. It was amazing to see how much the students grew in one year!

The technology in Belize is limited, but some of my students there were able to write letters to me. I kept all of these letters, and they solidify why I went into teaching to begin with.

I began my journey at Binghamton University studying Literacy for ages Birth-Grade 6

I graduated college with a degree in Childhood Inclusive Education with a concentration in Mathematics Education and a minor in School and Counseling Psychology. I also graduated on my birthday!
