My Life:)

  • I am born!

    I am born!
I was born on June 20, 1990 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. I was my mom's first baby and I'm sure she was very excited to have me! The day I was born, a woman dressed in nurses clothing came into the nursery where I was resting with the other newborns and took the baby girl in the bassinett next to mine. She was kidnapped and thankfully found and reunited with her parents a couple weeks later. My mom was horrified because of what had happened, but very grateful that it was not me.
  • I have a baby sister!

    I have a baby sister!
I had just turned 2 years old and was very excited for my Mom to have my baby sister! On June 30, 1992, Maddison Alexis was born. I remember sitting in my mom's hospital bed and holding her the day she was born! As soon as we brought her home from the hospital I decided she was "my" baby. I spent most of my childhood being a "mommy" to my little sister and taking care of her like I was her mommy, :)
  • My first day of school

    My first day of school
I started reading before I was even 3 years old and was doing math and reading advanced books before kindergarten. I went to a Catholic school in Pre-K and was very bored with all the "playtime" and not learning. I was so super excited to start Kindergarten!! I started school in a regular Kindergarten class with kids my own age. I adored my teacher Ms. Bruno, and loved going to school every day. Not long after school started my parents and educators realized I was not being challenged enough.
  • BIG school changes for me!

Before 1st grade my educators realized that things needed to be different for me. I remember taking many placement tests that summer and seeing the shock in peoples faces when I scored so much higher than expected. It was decided that I should be in 1st grade for the first hour of each day to be with kids my age, then I would move to second grade for a couple of hours of handwriting and science, and I would finish the day with 4th grade math and 5th grade EXCEL reading. I was so excited!!
  • I move to Texas

    I move to Texas
We moved from Oklahoma to Texas on my last day of first grade. I was excited to move because I would be closer to my PawPaw and other family! Soon after we moved to Texas, my Mom got married and my sister and I gained a new step-dad. The wedding was a lot of fun, I loved wearing that fancy dress and dancing and singing all night.
  • School shifts again

    School shifts again
In the midst of planning her wedding, my mom had to take me to enroll for school in Texas. I had taken all of those advanced and higher level classes, but my credits from Oklahoma were not transferrable. My school counselor suggested that my mom leave me in my own grade level for just one year while I adjusted to the move and the marriage. So for the first time, I stayed with my same-aged classmates every day. With the exception of leaving for an hour 3 times a week for a 4th grade EXCEL class.
  • I make the high school cheerleading squad!!!

I was excited and afraid to go on to high school just because it seemed like everyone there was so grown up. I will never forget going over the high school with the rest of my 8th grade girlfriends for cheerleading tryouts and how excited we got when we made the team! After that, we were no longer afraid but super anxious to start high school and we had so much fun! We loved going back to middle school and telling our fellow 8th graders that we were high school cheerleaders!
  • My first day of High School!

The first day of high school was so highly anticipated for me and my friends! We could not wait to get in there and see everyone and everything but we were also so afraid of getting lost and being the youngest ones! I will never forget how afraid I was walking in that day, and the amazing day I had! When I walked out that afternoon I never returned scared again.
  • I graduate high school!

    I graduate high school!
My high school graduation was so much fun. I could not believe that I was already graduating! It seemed like it had only been a couple of months since that first day of kindergarten! I remember that day very well and it was a very fun time for me. After graduation my whole family went out to dinner and I had such a good time getting gifts and being with them!
  • I move away to college!

    I move away to college!
It was decided that I would go to Weatherford College after high school. Of course I was very excited to start college, but sad to leave my mom and family. I was nervous to be out on my own, and that I would be an hour away from home! The first night I moved in, my best friend Kelsey and I cried because we missed them so much. We adjusted very quickly and had a great time our first year in college! I am so thankful for that experience and glad that I overcame the fear of being on my own.
  • My beautiful baby girl is born!

My beautiful baby girl is born!
On December 2, 2009, at 12:04 p.m. the most beautiful baby girl was born in Lewisville, TX! I have never loved anything as much as I did that sweet baby girl the first minute she was born. Scarlette Dawn changed my life for the better, and I am so lucky to call her my own! I have always dreamed of being a mommy, and she made my dreams come true!
