    I was born in Melbourne. I was my parent's first child. My parents and my grandparents were Australian - was also a grand daughter and a cousin. When I was in primary school I was jealous of other kids' whose parents came from other countires. I always wanted to learn other languages.

    I became a sister when my brother, Adrian was born. I am 4 years older than him. Later in 1987 my youngest brother was born.

    I became a primary school student. My mum drove me to school. I loved school. I especially enjoyed writing stories and doing art. I also played on the school sports teams.

    In my final year of school, I was a house captain. My house was blue, it was called Kenny. I enjoyed art and English in my last year of school. I did not really know what I wanted to do when I finished school.

    I moved to Japan and became and English teacher. I also studied Japanese. I struggled with my identity when I lived in Japan because I felt like I didn't belong.

    This is my current identity. I am still also a sister and a grand daughter. I really enjoy helping people and am very proud to be a teacher at NPELS. It is a great school and forms a large part of my identity.

    I had travelled a lot but my trip to Cambodia was the first time I went somewhere by myself. It was a little crazy but also very exciting. I became a lot braver after this trip!
