Applying to college is going to be an exciting, chaotic time for me. I am nervous, but it will be the beginning of my life as I choose the next step I will take.
-
The beginning of senior year feels like a victory and a loss at the same time. I will finally be in my last year of high school, but it will be saying goodbye to my childhood as I start to become an adult.
-
My 18th birthday is one of the biggest victories I think I will have senior year. Making it to 18 is incredible and becoming an "adult" is scary, but I know it will come with many great things.
-
Hearing back from colleges will be an anxiety inducing time for me. It will be special because I will be deciding my future, but I need to trust that whatever happens is what is best.
-
My senior opera is something I am so excited about. It will be bittersweet performing with my friends for one of the last times, but I will appreciate singing and doing what I love on stage.
-
Senior recital is something I have looked forward to since my freshman year. I get to show off all the work I have done at GSA and sing with my friends for the very last time before graduation.
-
GSA graduation is going to be a lot more emotional than Grassfield. Saying goodbye to GSA is like saying goodbye to a second home and family. It will be an incredibly bittersweet day, but one I will absolutely cherish.
-
Graduating from Grassfield will be one of my final moments as a senior in high school. I will officially be done with that chapter of my life and moving on to college.
-
Moving away from home and onto the campus of my college is going to be emotional. I will be extremely sad to be leaving my family and friends, but excited to meet new people.
-
Beginning college is going to be a fresh of breath air. I will have the ability to learn and do what I love. I am a bit nervous about how I will mentally handle the change, but I have faith that I am going to be okay.
-
Sophmore year is important in music programs because we are no longer new and have more expectations. Sophmore year is one of the more bland years in terms of work load, but I will be diligent and make sure to continue to hone my work ethic.
-
My first year an upperclassmen is one of the best for conservatories. We now get to focus more on training and our music, and we have better opportunities for performing.
-
It's insane to me that one day I will be a senior in college. I will be at the top of the theoretical food chain and I will be enjoying my last year of undergrad. I will have so many opportunities to perform and enjoy the work I have done in the last four years.
-
Graduate school is where you really need to be careful with. In opera, your training after undergrad is extremely important. No matter where I go I will have a support system and a teacher I can trust.
-
Graduating from my first college is a huge step towards building my career. Undergraduate training is vital to success and completing it is a great thing to do!
