    In this year the People's Republic of China introduced the law that limited each married couple to having one child only. It really aplied to the first-born children of 1979.

  • Birthday

    I was born and left at the orphanage in Shang Gao. One of the nannys found me by the gate. I stayed in the orphanage for about 2 months, then went into foster care.

  • Adoption

    I meet my adoptive parents, Robert and Marylin McCormick for the first time in a hotel room, in Nan-Chang China.

  • America

    America
    My parents brought me back to America for the first time. When I got off the airplane all of my new family members were there to greet me.

  • American Citizen

    I became an official American citizen on this date. We had a big celebration at a park near my grandmother's house.

  • Back to China

    Back to China
    I got on another airplane on this exact date to go back to China for a 2 week visit. I traveled to 7 different places. In the last week of the trip I got to meet my foster mother. It was very emotional.
