My Ever Changing Technology Timeline

  • Telephone

    All throughout my childhood my family had a landline telephone that we could be reached at.

  • VHS and VCR Players

    VHS's were the first form of movie watching for me. I remember having wait for the movie to rewind before we could watch it again.

  • Computer and desktop

    The first time that remember my family having a computer

  • CD/ Cassette Tape Player

    My older sister had a CD Player that I would use to listen to her music.

  • CD

    The first CD that my sisters and I owned was Backstreet Boys

  • Floppy Disks

    I used Floppy disks to save papers assignments for school

  • AOL Email and instant messaging

    When I was about nine we got an AOL account and I remeber thinking that instant messaging was the coolest thing ever.

  • Telephone with answering machine and caller I.D.

    We got a telephone that had an answering machine where people could leave messages and we could see who had called.

  • Our first DVD and DVD Player

    The first DVD that my family owned was Star Wars episode 1. I remember thingking that DVDs were kind of silly because they were the same as VHS's.

  • Windows Media Player

    I would upload my CDs on my computer and listen to them on there instead of on a CD player.

  • Itunes

    I downloaded Itunes to my computer. Through Itunes I could purchase new music. I could also for the first time purschase a single song that I like instead of having to buy the whole album.

  • Cell Phone

    I got my very own cell phone when I recieved my driver's license.

  • Ipod

    I got my first Ipod in 2007 and I loved it! I could carry all of the music that I owned at one time.

  • Laptop

    I went away to college and bought my b\very own laptop to do my schoolwork on.

  • Smart phone

    I got my first smart phone where I could access the internet at all times.
