In 1980 my brother was born. He changed my life as he was born three and a half months premature. Due to complications of his birth, he's disabled physically and mentally. He partly inspired me to become a teacher.

When I was a teenager, my mom said that I was extremely stubborn. She said that once I got my mind to do something, there was no stopping me.

I came to Turkey and have stayed ever since.

I've been stubborn pretty much my whole life according to my mother. When I was younger, I was convinced that red and pink matched and insisted on wearing flourescent pink (bell bottom) pants with a bright red dress to school. My mom couldn't get me to take it off! And, it was my favorite outfit. I have a jacket that my friends say is ugly as can be. I continue to wear it despite their protests.
