Grandpa Finishes Basic Training and He and His Friends get Assigned to Their Next Assignments.

After my Grandpa finished Basic Training for the U.S. Army, he and his friends got their orders to go to their next assignments in 1964. Grandpa was ordered to go to Fort Knox, Kentucky, but he had to watch his friends break down and sob as they were ordered to go to Vietnam. My Grandpa remembers to this day the horrible day he had to watch grown men sob because they knew they were going to die at Vietnam.
