    There are multiple theories for what caused Rome's collapse. Rome collapsed due to conflicts adding up over time. Rome had undergone invasions from multiple Barbarian tribes. In 455, the Roman Emperor was assassinated. The Vandals saw this as an opportunity to raid Rome.

    The Battle of Tours

    The Battle of Tours took place in 733. The battle was fought between the Frankish leader Charles Martel and the Islamic leader Emir Abdul. Rahman Al Ghafiqi Abd Al Rahman. Islam was rapidly spreading into Europe. Charles Martel defeated an invading Muslim army at Tours in France. This halted Islam's advance into Europe. Although al-Rahman's army outnumbered Martel's, Martel's army was more experienced.
