    Josh's Birth and Infacy
I was born in Makati Medical City on February 14, 2002. My parents are Cynthia S. Dayco and Roland R. Benzon.
  • First time reading books

    First time reading books
My parents used to read me children's books such as the hungry caterpillar. They did this right before I slept, and so it was my favorite part about going to sleep. Soon after, I started to read books on my own. My favorite book series is Wilbert Awdry's The Railway Series books, which is where the Thomas the Tank Engine series came from.
  • First time listening to music

    First time listening to music
My parents played very many songs when I was a child. My dad was a big fan of 70s music, so he played a lot of Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Sugarhill Gang, and many other artists. My favorite song back then was the song called "Got To Be Real" by Cheryl Lynn. My parents said I sang this a lot, even on the airplane! Soon I got to explore other styles of music.

  • First time playing video games

    First time playing video games
I was introduced to video games with a V-Tech. I played many games, and the Thomas the Tank Engine video game was my favorite. I also had a Toy Story game, Dora game, and a Lion King game.
  • First time watching movies

    First time watching movies
While my first movie was not in a movie theater, I still enjoyed watching movies. I remember having Shrek and Little Rascals on repeat, so if I wasn't doing anything, I would just enjoy these movies.

  • First time watching television

    First time watching television
Every morning before school, I would watch Hannah Montana on Disney Channel. If it wasn't Hannah Montana, it was usually something like Phineas and Ferb or something else on Nickolodeon. Late at night, I would watch Rugrats and Hey Arnold. Although half of the time I was watching telenovelas because of my ate who enjoys "Boys Over Flowers" and "Temptation of Wife".
  • First time on the internet

    First time on the internet
I'm not quite sure what the first websites I visited were. I do remember being on a computer back when I still lived in Magallanes, which dates to about 2007. I believe one of the websites I used to visit was Y8.

  • First time on Youtube

    First time on Youtube
I first enjoyed YouTube videos when I watched Super Mario 64 gameplay videos. Some of these videos were made in a story form, and these were called machinimas. I even made my own machinimas in 2009! The first Youtuber I actually started following as a fan was Ray William Johnson. I soon expanded to Minecraft Youtubers like the Yogscast and Captain Sparkles. I still follow some Youtubers I did 7 years ago.

  • First time reading newspaper

    First time reading newspaper
I never usually read the newspaper. The first time I read a newspaper was when we were told to bring it in for an arts and crafts project in class; when I was done, I started reading what was left of the newspaper. To this day, I only read the newspaper when we need to bring it for a project. If I need to read an article, I usually visit the website of the newspaper.
  • First time listening to radio

    First time listening to radio
Every day on the way to school, my bus service would always have the radio on. Usually when it was a rainy day, DZMM would be the radio station of choice for the bus driver. But when it was a completely normal day, he had 93.9 iFM on. This was the radio station of most of my life; at least until the bus service stopped operating. Now in most grabs, they play 90.7 love radio. I still miss 93.9 iFM though, as it reminds me of the simpler days.
  • First time on Friendster

    First time on Friendster
I never had my own Friendster account, but I would use someone else's account when I went on Friendster. I loved all the unique designs each Friendster profile had. There were so many glitter animations. So many.

  • First time on Facebook

    First time on Facebook
I remember begging my parents to make me a Facebook account. And in 2010, they made me one. Of course, they didn't tell me the password so that they could control when I went on Facebook, but they eventually did. Back then, I would use Facebook to post things on our class Facebook group and play games like Pet Society and Restaurant City. Now I use it to communicate with other people, and to see things that other people have shared.
  • First time on Twitter

    First time on Twitter
I made a Twitter mainly because I wanted to express things online without having all my friends on Facebook see it. I made an account in 2012, but then stopped using it soon after. I began using it again in 2014, and my activity grew up until 2015. After 2015, I began minimizing my usage after I realized not many people really cared about every single tweet of mine. Nowadays, I only tweet to reply to other people's tweets, or when I have something funny to say.
  • First time on Instagram

    First time on Instagram
I made an Instagram after a friend told me about it in 2013. I remember posting about the Jollibee I had that evening. He told me all about hashtags and that they got you likes, so he told me to do at least 10 hashtags. Back then, it was only an image sharing platform. Now it has videos and stories. That's now what I mainly use Instagram for, watching other people's stories.
  • First time on Reddit

    First time on Reddit
I unknowingly started browsing Reddit in 2013, when I downloaded a Rage Comics app from the app store. It was actually pulling posts off of Reddit, so when I tapped to check the comments, it sent me to Reddit. I made an account and saw that there were other subreddits (or communities) that weren't just about rage comics. I still use Reddit every single day.
  • First time on Snapchat

    First time on Snapchat
I made a Snapchat because a friend told me to. This is where Instagram got their story feature from. I now use it to watch other people's stories and send snapstreaks, which is a streak of number of days you've sent each other snaps. I find the disappearing image concept quite interesting.
