  • When I was born

    When I was born this was the start of my whole life and this is the biggest day of my life.

  • 9/11

    When this happened I was only 1, but every year since our country honors that day and it affects me now because my uncle works in NYC and if it were to happen now he could be affected.

  • Hurricane Katrina

    This hurricane affected me because I was 5 years old and this was one of my first memories. I remember my family talking about all the places that were affected and destroyed.

  • When I moved to Statesville

    In 2006 I moved to Statesville from Apex and I believe this changed me because we moved closer to the rest of my family and I had to move schools.

  • When my little sister was born

    My little sister was born when I was 8. I was very excited that I finally had a little sister. I loved playing with her and was excited to be a middle child

  • When Michael Jackson died

    I was 9 when he died and I remember my parents being very sad and it being all over the news.

  • When my little sister got burned

    My little sister was burned by a candle when she was sitting on the counter and her dress caught on fire. This was a very tragic, scary event that happened to me and my family.

  • Tsunami in Japan

    This was very scary when this happened because my grandparents had just been in Japan.

  • Getting my first phone

    Getting my first phone was a big milestone in my life because I was able to communicate with my friends and family through my cell phone. I was very excited to get a slide phone.

  • Sandy Hook Shooting

    This was a big day in my life because when I heard about this I realized that life is precious and can be taken from you at any time.

  • Getting my first Iphone

    When I got my first Iphone I was introduced to social media and I believe this had a impact of my life because I was able to have all my social media with me all the time and be connected to the world.

  • Boston Marathon Bombing

    This was a big milestone in my life because this was a big attack that happened in our country. I was very shocked because it wasn't expected and I was scared because something like this could happen to where I live.

  • Making the cheer team

    I made the JV cheer team when I was in 8th grade for the upcoming year. I was very excited to cheer for South. This is also how I met one of my best friends, that I am still friends with. We met at freshman cheer camp and became friends.

  • Starting High School

    I believe this was a big event in my life because I high school at a new school and I made many new friends.

  • When my dog died

    When my second dog was put down it was one of the saddest days of my life. I loved my dog so much and he was my favorite dog that we've ever had.

  • Terrorist Attack in Paris

    This affected me because I knew that my sister was going to Paris in a few months from them and it could have happened when she was there.

  • Passing Personal Project

    I spend my whole sophomore year working on my personal project and when I found out I passed it was very relieving.

  • Graduating MYP

    I was in the MYP program for 5 years and then sophomore year when I had to do the personal project I was very stressed but I was so happy when I was finished and I passed. This was a milestone in my life because I had heard about this project since I started IB in 6th grade.

  • Getting my License

    This day was a very important day in my life because I could finally go where I wanted to go without someone having to take me. Having this freedom was great and it was a very big milestone.

  • My sister going to college

    When my sister left my college it was very sad because we have lived together for 16 years. We have never been apart for more than 2 weeks and this was very hard when she moved out.
