Walkie-Talkie
On our family's move from Texas to Arizona, my father purchase Walkie-Talkies for our caravan trip. I remember my sister and I using these to talk to eachother and relay message for our parents, since we were in separate cars. -
Television
One of the few television programs my parents allowed my sister and I to watch. Sesame Street reminds me of the time when my father was deployed to Desert Storm, as we were living in Arizona at the time this memory first comes to me, and my father was not with us. -
Movie Theater
The first movie I went to with my Dad. I remember the feeling of how large the screen was, and the volume of the sound. -
Computer
My parents had a desktop comuter my Dad purchased a couple of educational game for my sister and I to play. I remember playing Reader Rabbit as my first experiences with a computer. -
Internet
Vivid memory about my introduction to the internet. My Dad called me over and pulled up Yahoo! He told me to ask any question I wanted, and typed it into the search engine. -
Email
My first emais l account. I used this to correspond and keep in touch with friends that I had moved away from. -
Cordless Phone
Some vivid memories about talking on the cordless phone to my boyfriend in high school for too long and getting yelled at by my dad. -
Laptop
I got my first laptop before leaving home to head for college. It was a big gift from my parents, and I remember being very excited to get one. -
Facebook
My sister first told me about Facebook as a way to get connected to friends I knew from high school that were now in college. -
iPhone
Finally upgraded from my old style flip phone to the iPhone. I was very excited to have one, and not cannot imagine living without it.
