After Louis XV passed away. Louis Auguste succeeded him making Marie Antoinette, at 19 years old, the offical Queen of France. The king and Queen where very diffrent. He was shy and loved reading and things that kept him busy. She was a lover of fashion, people, gambling, and things of that nature.

During the 1780s, with the French government sliding into financial turmoil but Marie kept living her fabulous. People accused the queen of ignorance, extravagance and adultery, She was dubbed"Madame Deficit.".

In 1785, a nacklace permanently tarnished the queen's reputation. A thief stole a 647-diamond necklace, to be sold off in pieces. Marie Antoinette was innocent she was still guilty in the eyes of everyone.

1786 she began building the Hameau de la Reine, a luxury home near the Petit Trianon in Versailles. She did not want to be affected by the assumetion of her people.

July 14, 1789, 900 French workers stormed the Bastille Prison and began the french revolution. On October 6, 10,000 people demanded that the King and Queen be brought to Paris. Louis XVI acted was scared but Marie Antoinette stepped up in his place.

King Louis XVI is on trial, and executed by the Guillotine. He is conviceted of treason. A month later Marie Antoinette was put on trial for treason, theft, and a charge of sexually abusing her son.

an all-male jury found her guilty on all charges. Marie Antoinette was beheaded at the guillotine on October 16, 1793. Then in the moments before her execution, the priest present told her to have courage, Marie Antoinette said, "Courage? The moment when my ills are going to end is not the moment when courage is going to fail me."
