    This was the first time that everyone was represented in parliament. Knights came out to represent their counties and common people came out when specific events needed to happen. But this was the first time that these two groups met and discussed the king and general affairs of the country.

    There were two different sides that were being supported in the civil war: the King and parliament. The country was very spilt due to Charles I lack of communication with parliament in this time.

    This was stating he people in the country wanted political freedom and were unable to get that under James II. The people again the Kings wishes to do what they thought was right.

    This was stating that there needed to be limits on the power of one particular person. The king can not have all the power just like parliament can not have all the power.
  • The Act of Settlement 1701

    This reaffirmed the regulation brought forth in the bill of rights on Kings. It now clearly stated that the King and Queen must be apart of the Church of England to keep any major rifts from occurring in the country again
