Estates General
The first, second, and third estates (Clergy, Aristocrats, and Commoners) met for the first time since 1614 to discuss cahiers. Nothing comes out of this because every estate gets one vote and the 2/3 majority always rules over the commoners that make up 97% of the population but only have 1 vote. -
Execution of Louis XVI
King Louis XVI tried to flee europe and was convicted of treason. The new beheading device the Guillotine was used to take his head off, His Queen followed the same fate some time after. -
Execution of Robespierre
Maximilien Robespierre gets executed by the guillotine so the list of names for beheadings doesn't get made. He caused the reign of terror, and ended it with his life. Robespierre tried to shoot himself but only crippled his jaw. -
Napoleonic Code
Napoleonic code made reforms such as; religious tolerance, peasants getting land, jobs based on skill, and controlled prices. -
Defeat at Waterloo
Napoleon led an attack to Waterloo, Netherlands (now belgium) in hopes that he would catch them offgaurd and beat them before they invade france. but his loss at waterloo lowered his approval even more than it already was and was exiled.
