I was born in Karachi, Pakistan on March 13, 2001. This affects the way I view the world today, because it made me realize the world is bigger than what we see in front of us -
Moved to TN
I moved to Nashville, TN in 2006. This affected the way I view the world, because it showed me that some places are more fortunate than others. -
Trip to Pakistan
In 2010, I had my first trip back to Pakistan since moving here. This contributed to the way I view the world, because it allowed me to have a different cultural experience. -
Parents Moving
At the end of my summer trip, my parents stayed in Pakistan while me and my younger brother returned to Nashville. This contributed to the way I see the world, because I have to keep up with media and news in Pakistan now, too, since my parents live there. -
Dad got cancer
On June 15, 2015, my dad got diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. This changed my view on the world, because it showed me that anything can happen at any given moment so you should never take time for granted. -
Changing Schools
In August 2016, I had my first day at Hillsboro. This contributed to my view on the world, because it made me realize that being in uncomfortable situations is okay if it is for a good reason. -
First job/internship
In the summer of 2017, I had my first internship/job at the USCCU. This contributed to my view on the world, because I got to work with people and see their real life financial situations. This allowed me to see that some people are in financial situations that they didn't chose to be in.
