  • Omar is born.

My brother, who is one year younger than me, was also born in Salmaniya hospital in Bahrain. He is a very confident person who always fights for whatever he wants. Many people say we look alike and used to even think that we're twins. We always argue and fight and rarely stand together. We usually support each other only when something favors the both of us. However, I always felt like I had someone by my side and I am grateful for having him.

My first time appearing in a newspaper.
That day, I performed in front of a HUGE crowd on stage. I was extremely nervous since my teachers have always put me in front of everybody else and that made me the center of attention. This time, I was scared because of the thousands of people watching me and the fear of falling off stage and the prince was also in the crowd once again. I was also the one who offered the roses to him. This event boosted my confidence a lot.

Dyed my hair blue and cut a bang.
After the color purple faded, I was disappointed. I really loved that look and wanted it back. I convinced my mom to dye it again, however, this time i dyed it Blue. However, it wasn't very obvious... it looked more like black. I also took a risky move and cut long bangs. I really regret this move since it really ruined the way my hair looks. This contributed to my insecurity.

    Sweet 16!
My 16th birthday party. It was a girls only party and I invited friends from my older and new school. It was probably my best birthday party so far. My mom worked really hard for it and I am really thankful for her. All my friends were pretty impressed and had a great time. I felt more responsible and confident after this party especially after realizing that I was only a few years away from being an adult. I also became more popular after throwing this party.

    Character day at MKS.
I dressed up as Morticia Adams from the Addams family on the character day held at school. It was exciting since I never had those kind of events at my old school. At first I was contemplating whether to dress up or not, afraid that I might be the only one who participates or that what i was wearing wasn't suitable, but I finally had the courage to do it. This made me more confident and courageous, especially since many complimented my outfit.
