I was cared for very well. I was loved, kept safe, and nourished. Because of this I gained a lot of trust towards my parents.

I learned to be more secure in the world I lived in by my parents teaching me how to do things myself. I learned basic things like getting potty trained, learning how to eat myself, and learning what toys and things were my favorites. When I was this age I was learning how to become self-independent.

At this age I remember starting to learn how to get along with others, started to use my imagination, and to lay the groundwork for future confidence in myself. I would say my personal experience with this would be a positive one because of the people that taught me, supervised, and really cared for my well-being.

At this age my biggest events were going to school, trying to figure out who my friends were, and just learning how to get along with people in general (friends, teachers, family). I would say my biggest obstacle was my self confidence and worrying what people thought about me.

For the beginning part of this stage in my life, there was a lot of uncertainty for who I was. It was a little difficult for me to try to figure out what an adult was and how to transition into being one. I would say more towards the end of the stage I has a more clearer picture of what it meant to be one. As of now, I feel a lot more confident of who I am (going to college, having steady relationships, starting a business, having a job).
