    Ottoman Empire

    Empire was founded by Turkish tribes under Osman Bey in north-western Anatolia during 1299. The conquest of Constantinople by Mehmed II in 1453 - the Ottoman state is established an empire.

    Songhai Empire

    The Songhai Empire was relatively big, and pushed its domination into the Sahara from the south. They had brought in their wealth from the trans-saharan traded and was ruled by an indigenous Muslim dynasty. Invaded by the North Western kingdom of Morocco whcich overpowered the Songhai's army.

    Had ruled the Ottoman Empire from 1444 to September 1446, then again from February 1451 to 1481. Also had conquered Constantinople and brought an end to the Byzantine Empire. He founded many universities and colleges in the city (some still in use).Recognized as the first Sultan to codify criminal and constitutional law.

    The Columbian Exchange had started shortly after Columbus had discovered the New World. This period in time was the transfer of peoples, animals, plants, and diseases between the New and Old worlds. Although this resulted on more spread of diseases, it had also benefitted them in some ways. It had introduced things to both the Old and New world, as both sides now had new advancements in agricultural production, evolution of warfare, increased mortality rates and education are a few examples.

    Had complety reconstructed the Ottoman legal system. Had personally led Ottoman armies to conquer the Christian territories of Rhodes, Belgrade, and most of Hungary.

    Emperors were Muslims and direct descendants of Genghis Khan through Chagatai Khan and Timur. It makes sense as Mughal was the Arabic word for Mongol.

    Twas 13 years old when he inherited the Mughal throne. Was a descendant of Ghengis Khan.Significantly influenced art and culture in the country.He took great interest in the art of painting, and since that he had the walls of his palaces adorned with murals.

    Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher who played a major role in the Scientific Revolution. Made an improvement on the telescope. Has was given the name of the "father of modern observational astronomy".

    Had established by Tokugawa Ieyasu and ruled by the shoguns of the Tokugawa family.This period of time was known as the Edo period (named after capital city, Edo, Which is now modern day Tokyo)

    John Locke

    He had argued that the governemnt was supposed to protect the people's rights. People were allowed to rebel if the government did not do so. Argued that rulers should be granted authority by the people and that rulers should be subject to law. Which had led to a civil rights movement, the government reforms.

    Manchus Empire

    With the emperor lead by his own hand and imperial family in flight,a Ming general invited Machu leaders to help his forces take Beijing from the rebels. The Manchu did so in 1644. Resorting on the MIng, they claimed China for their own and began a forty-year conquest of the rest of the Ming territories. By the end of the century, the Manchu had gained control of South China and incoporated the island of Taiwan into imperial China.

    After the English Civil War, replaced the reigning king, James II, with his protestant daughter Mary. The Parliament had to be arranged regularly.All new taxes had to be approved by Parliament.Monarchs had to belong to the Anglican religion. Created new political arrangements were made with Scotland.
