My First Birthday
My first time celebrating my birthday. I have lived for one year. -
9/11
A horrible event happened in America that day. 19 terrorists from the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda hijacked four passenger jets. The hijackers intentionally piloted two of those planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center complex in New York City; both towers collapsed within two hours. The hijackers also intentionally crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. This is important because lots of people died this day. -

I began to speak that day. My first word was "leg". I started communicating with people, and tell them what I feel. -

Michael Phelps, the United States swimmer from Baltimore, wins his 8th Gold Medal of the Beijing Summer Olympic Games, surpassing the record of seven won by Mark Spitz. This is important because it shows how good the United States' swimmer. -
