It's My Life

  • My Birth

    My Birth
I was born on the 26th of February in the year of 1996. My mother thought I was going to be a leap year baby and was just a few days shy of it too. This day is probably one of the most important days of my life so far. I was born in St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton. Fun fact: It was a Monday.

    Being A 'Nerd'

click here for a list of thingsSince I have no specific dates for this seeing as it is an on going thing in my life I decided to put it here. Ever since I could remember my parents have been showing me media related things that society have considered to be 'Nerdy'. (eg: LotRs, Star Wars, Zelda, Lost, Harry Potter, etc etc) I believe that this shaped my intrests extrememly. I continue enjoying nerdy things, the most recent being Doctor Who, SciFi and British Televison.

    The Time of My Life

This is the time I've been alive and breathing air. Sort of uneventful, but fun all the same. (Oh, and the title of the timeline is supposed to be sung to the tune of Bon Jovi's It's My Life, not said in a monotone voice-and that sir, was me being funny.) *Note: Many of these events I do not know the exact date, just the month and the year.
  • Baptizm

    Baptizm
This was the day I was baptized. If this were not to have happened I wouldn't have been Catholic, and not have gone to a Catholic school.
  • Burlington Here We Come!

    Burlington Here We Come!
When I was a baby my family moved from their small apartment in Downtown Hamilton, to a small town house in Burlington. I went to preschool and day care and continued to complete my schooling of JK-Grade 1.
  • Harry Potter For Life

    Harry Potter For Life
When I was just three years old my Mum read the first Harry Potter book to me. I think that this was one of the most significant things that have ever happened in my life. When I was growing up my whole family played along to the idea that I was a witch and going to Hogwarts. (this included letters from 'Harry', stories of how my Pa was best friends with Dumbledore, and many, many other things). I have shed many a tear of the characters and events of these books. This will never leave me.
  • I Can Talk!

    I Can Talk!
I went to a speach therapist for a while when I was little. I have a really bad stutter AND a lisp (this prevented me from being able to introduce myself the lisp turned my name 'Cassie' into 'Cathy'). I still stutter sometimes, but if I hadn't have gone through this I would still have a bad speach impedement.
  • My Papa's Death

    My Papa's Death
I can't remember my Papa at all, only from photographs and stories from the people who do remember him. My Papa was my father's father.
  • Far, far away

    Far, far away
My Uncle Boeuf (who's real name is Jeff) moved to BC with my Auntie Vicky. I think this is really significant because I can remember what is was like to not have them here and to miss them. While living in BC they had two children, Caleb (my only male cousin) and Coredelia.
  • A Wedding!

    A Wedding!
My Auntie Debbie (mother's sister) got married to my Uncle Ken on this day. I think that this is very significant because I am extremely close to my Uncle's family despite not having any blood relation to them.
  • My Gran I's Death

    My Gran I's Death
My Gran I was not actually related to me, but she seemed like a third grandmother. She was my Grandmother's (Mum's mother) best friend. I remember her being so loving and kind to me.

  • Baby Lolo.

    Baby Lolo.
My Auntie Debbie had her first daughter, Lauren Newell Cherrett on this day. I think of Lolo as more of a little sister than a cousin.
  • New School, No Friends?

    New School, No Friends?
I think my starting in this new school (that was then called St. Catherine of Siena) is an extrememly important event in my life, although one I don't like to remember. For the first year at that school I was bullied. It was a very hard time for me, I basically had no friends at one point. Grade two was the least favourite year of my life, but I think it helped me be a better person today. Since I went through that hell I think I can understand people more.
  • A New City

    A New City
This is when I moved back to Hamilton. I am still in the same house today. I remember having a bittersweet feeling about the movie; I would miss my old house in Burlington, but I didn't have to share a room with my sister. This house is in a really good placement seeing as it's only 7 minutes away from STM.
  • First Communion

    First Communion
This was my first communion. I remember finding my dress and feeling like a princess-or a bride. That's basically the only thing I can remember.
  • Baby Maddie May

    Baby Maddie May
My Auntie Debbie had her second daughter on this day, Madelyn Gean Cherrett. I also think of her as my little sister.
  • Collar Bone

    Collar Bone
I serverly broke my collar bone one day while practicing for cross country. I couldn't function for a while, and got off of school for about two weeks. This was the first and only time I've broken a bone. I hope not to do it again. I actually still have a bump on my collarbone. As you can tell from the photo I have a beautiful smile and great posture.
  • Getting Glasses

    Getting Glasses
When I was in grade five I had to get glasses. I had to continue to wear glasses up until this point in my life (now having both glasses and contacts). I went from having not-so-good vision to I-can-barely-function-without-my-glasses vision.

  • Graduating Grade Elementary

    Graduating Grade Elementary
If I hadn't of graduating elementary school (which was St. Catherine of Siena) I wouldn't been here in high school so I think that this is an important point in my life.
  • Ah, High School at last.

    Ah, High School at last.
This was my first day of high school, and my first day at the glorious STM. This is very important because it was the start of my high school career. I remember not being too nervous about it. I'm glad that I went to this school.
  • Back Again!

    Back Again!
My Uncle Boeuf's family moved back not to long ago. This is EXTREMELY significant because his son and daughter, now 7 and 5, are basically at my house every single day.
