    Music - (Spotify/Soundcloud)
Music is my life. I cannot and refuse to live without it. Music saved my life. My Auntie Jill was a musician who poured out all of her thoughts and feelings through her words and the sounds she created with her voice. Music has always been a thing of comfort for me while also being another thing that connects me to people. Bands like twenty øne piløts and Panic! At the Disco, and artists like Pentatonix and Troye Sivan have helped me make friends and connections with many other types of people.

    Music - Continued
Everybody in my family is musically gifted so I have been around it since I was born. It is able to express what I am feeling when I am unsure myself. It is a calming mechanism, a way to pump up, a way to focus, a way to be angry, be happy, be sad, be loud, have fun, and just live. I can't put into words how massive of a role music plays, pun intended, in my life. Just know that it's part of the reason I am still here.

  • Internet

    Internet
I was introduced to using the internet for personal fun around the age of 9. It started with BellaSara and eventually progressed to other online games, to YouTube, to other social medias, to meeting some of my best friends. I had used the internet for academic reasons before then, but not frequently. Today, however, I use the internet frequently for both academic and personal use. I'll explain further in social media, but without the internet, I would not be the person I am now.
  • Social Media

    Social Media
I started watching YouTube videos in 2012. I started with vloggers like CTFxC and progressed to Tyler Oakley, Connor Franta, Troye Sivan, and Hannah Hart. I went from YouTube to Tumblr, to Twitter, to Instagram, to Snapchat, and then to Wattpad. This invention probably had the most influence on me. I would not be the person I am today without Social Media and here's why; I have met some of my best friends on Wattpad, read and learned some of the coolest things on Tumblr and Twitter, and have

grown into somebody that knows they have a place to turn to. I was lost for a long time and it was because of social media that I came out of it okay. YouTubers like Connor Franta and Tyler Oakley and Hannah Hart (who is an angel that gives great hugs) kept me laughing when I struggled to find a reason to care. I had somewhere to turn to when I needed to, and it was because of social media. My best friend and I just celebrated our 2 year friendiversary and we're hoping that one day we can meet.
  • iPhones

    iPhones
I got my first phone at the age of 11. It was a cosmo from verizon and it was a brick that lasted me 4 years. I got my first iPhone for my 8th grade graduation present and my new one over the summer of 2016. Ever since then, my phone has become an essential piece of my day. It's my alarm clock, my books, my camera, my music, my communication device, and my fidget toy. My phone keeps me connected with those who I don't see every day.
  • Cars

    Cars
I got my license in February of this year, and since then I have used my car practically every day. I am lucky to have a car, his name is Carlisle, and he plays a big role in my everyday life. I am able to be independent due to my car; I can drive myself to and from work, school, and since I do not have to rely on others for transportation, I am able to go out to be with friends more often. I am also able to go farther without having to ask my parents to take me.
