    Born to a teacher and a computer programmer, I was destined to become one or the other....I became both! Although I don't program computers I certainly love to use technology with my students!

    In 1983 I graduated from Riverview High School. Ironically, my focus in high school was data processing. I spent two full years attending classes on COBOL programming and cardpunching. Both of these are obsolete today!

    In 1988 I married my husband, Joe. We are still happily married after 25 years!

    It is hard to believe that she is graduating from Wayne State University on May 7 with a degree in Elementary Education. She is a Spanish major, a Polish dancer, and a wonderful young lady.
  • Joey is born

    My son Joey was born. He will soon be a junior at Wayne State University majoring in chemistry. He is my "go to" for tech information when I am struggling!

    In 2005 I received my Bachelors of Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. My major was Elementary Education. I am highly qualified to teach math and science. My goal was to graduate from college before I turned 40....I made it!

    In 2007 I started teaching at St. Pius School in Southgate, Michigan. I am now in my 4th year of teaching 4th grade and I truly love it! I can't imagine ever going back to working in an office. I love the kids, the creativity, and the everchanging workday!

    Two years ago I began to pursue my Masters in Educational Technology. I have always enjoyed working with technology and looking for ways to incorporate it into my teaching; making it an integral part of my teaching, not just a once-in-awhile thing to do with my students.

    I am really looking forward to learning about the wonderful technolgies I can use with my students and share with my colleagues. Please feel free to email me if you ever have a question and I will certainly try to help and I am hopeful that you will all do the same for me! Some of you may not have a classroom of your own at this time so you are welcome to bounce ideas off of my fourth graders and me if you need to.
