I was a junior in high school when I decided to go to college instead to mentally challenge me and to get a few free years of college.

My only other dog Snoopy had passed away in March 2016 and I was devastated. We ended up adopting Calliope that same year (we call her Calli for short) and she's been a such a blessing to have in my life! She's the friendliest dog in the world.

My all-time favorite artists. I got to stand in the pit with my mom and watch them perform! It was the best concert I have ever been to. I have a lot of good memories from this night.

Calli needed a companion so Dash fit the bill! She turned out to be crazier than we had anticipated and is quite a handful, but we love her nonetheless. She's weary around strangers but has a big heart.

I didn't know what to do for the longest time. I got my GEP's out of the way when I was enrolled in CCP but shortly after I graduated from high school, I decided that I would go into business. My original plan was to graduate and open up a dog grooming and boarding business since I loved dogs so much, but after taking 1 semester it wasn't for me and I finally switched over to education and have stuck with it!

I was never at the school so by the time I graduated, I was rather distant with most of my class. I was happy to spend some time with a few of my close friends that I had missed though and I am proud that I got to finally graduate. (:

When I first switched majors, I was stubborn and decided to just do early childhood because I didn't see myself helping children with special needs. After 2 semesters of being in education, I was more interested and passionate in that area of the field. My little sister has Apraxia so I was raised around a child who required help and we had a hard time finding a school that would actually teach my sister instead of "passing" her without her learning anything. I'm now passionate about this. (:

My CCP courses plugged in/substituted a lot of educational courses I had to take, so now I am struggling to find extra classes to take alongside my educational ones to meet my recommended credit hours. I decided to minor in psychology since I've always been interested in it and it gives me some more options of classes that I can take that'll count toward something.

I hope to learn some effective reading strategies (especially oral) that I can implement in my teaching. My sister focused on learning how to read and pronounce words since it is a skill that everybody needs to know how to do in the real world. She struggled with pronouncing words the most so I really hope that I'll be able to recognize and understand some teaching strategies in that area that was used on my own sister.
