There are lots of outside activities, and I attribute any learned form of procrastination from growing up there, and being distracted by nature.

    This is the span of time in which I lived in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland is a place where I learned work ethic. I got my first jobs in Cleveland, and made my first long lasting friends. Cleveland shaped my leadership view in being a place where I first learned how to lead, and participate.

    Entered high school in Cleveland, Ohio. Midpark High School served as an institution that taught me work ethic. Midpark is where I assumed more roles within the community, I became participative for the first time. I created a routine with completing assignments and for the first time began to get "A's" in classes since Grant Elementary.

    I was accepted and enrolled at Judson College (now known as Judson University) in Elgin, Illinois. I enrolled at Judson due to influence from my parents to stay at an American Baptist college. Judson is so important to me, it is a place that I absolutely dispised but loved as well. Judson College is where I learned how to be my own leader in life. I decided what I wanted out of life for myself, not what I had been told. Judson is where I decided to challenge myself.

    I will always consider Chicago my home. This is where I grew up. Chicago itself is a leader to me. I would see the professionals as they would walk to work downtown, and that would motivate me to work harder. I would see teachers hard at work in Chicago Public Schools, and I would work harder to try and be apart. Chicago made me feel like I was contributing to something bigger, and is one of the biggest leaders in my perception.

    I was accepted and enrolled at North Park University. North Park was in Chicago, Illinois. At North Park I experienced learning, this is where I figured out I wanted to teach. At North Park I worked toward my goal, socialized myself, and learned leadership through experience. North Park will stand out as a place where I began to shape my life with the future in mind.

    After I graudated from North Park University, I set off to obtain a teaching job. I tried looking for an apartment in Chicago and was unable to locate one or a job, and ended up living in Oak Park, Illinois. Oak Park is where I learned how to work to obtain my goals, it was there that I got my first job outside of college, learned to grocery shop. and took out my first own trash.
