I have left home in seek of a fair world. My motherland has been taken over by Nicholas II transforming Russia into a place of suffering. War is bound to break out soon and I must go. I leave for America tomorrow.

-
I have managed to get into the Americas, and found a job in gold mining in California. The conditions are terrible but at least I can provide for myself.
-
Once I arrived I learned of the exclusion act, with no Chinese to help me work. The already horrible conditions got even worse for us few still left.
-
I have found a place to stay after the poor week of exhausting work. I found a small house that I could by, maybe a house is a stretch… more of a shack.
-
While I was working in the mines a cave-in erupted breaking my foot, I was fired since I couldn’t do the job anymore.
-
I can’t provide for myself anymore, I have used what money I had left and I am setting for to the east for some work.
-
I went to go get land, turns out it was all taken… I was sad don’t get me wrong, but I have to keep moving. I need to find work if I am going to make it.
-
I got another job in Colorado’s silver mines. I guess my history in the mining business made me a good choice over the other people .
-
I think the company has a policy that a year of work gets you a promotion. Either that you did a good job, or are still alive. Anyways instead of mining, I supervise.
-
I found a nice wife, got a house after working off my promotion. So I think I made it well in the New world. I just hope I don’t go to war.
