America amd Me
Hi! My name is Arianna Morina, I am only 21 when i going immigrate i will be 22 because my birthday s the day before we arrive .I am immirgrating to america because I need a job and land to start out my new life on my own as and adult. -
Boat Ride
Getting on the boat i thought it was going to be easy. The waves making the boat ride shake but when being framed was the case i dident know if iwanted to do this. But id didenet give up. I was framed for stealing $659 from a rich man. -
Discrimination
Since I am italian I was being discriminated alot. Meaning i was being treated unfairly so i could only have "Blue Collar" job or a lower class job. So... I have decided to go into farming one because I love being outside and two because I will be good at it because my parents where farmers. -
Legal Detention
When they realized that on the boat i had stolen (but really was framed) it took three months of legal detention till they let me go though. And, the opnly reason they let me through was because i told alittle lie saying i had some one waiting for me. -
Homestead Act
In this year they created the homestead act. This is one of the many reasons i chose to come and this being cvreated was an advantage because i was looking for land at the same . Thi is when they gave out of alot of land but you had to race to get to yours in time to keep the land while you also have to do something productive with your land. With mine i am going to start farming. It was a tough race was out of time. -
Changess and Problems of Farming
Beng a farmer for so many years have been able to watch the "industry" change. It has changed in many, many ways. One problem i encoutered was it in the late 1880's was water drout. Changes was exciting because there were new technology. My faveriot part of farming was watching my animals grow up. Over all farming is allways going to important and a part of my life. Even if i face problems.
