My Great Great Grandmother is 6 months pregnant in Armenia during the Armenian Genocide with her second child, Rose(my grandmother) -
A wedding of a family friend is being prepared

The Attack
The Turkish would often attack during large social gatherings to kill as many people as effectilvy as possible. Every member of the small village is in atendance but by chance my Great Great Grandmother is too sick to go. Mid way through the wedding Turkish cavalry armed with rifles and bayonets slaughter every man, women, and child at the wedding. There were no survivors, Rose's father, relatives and older brother of only 6 were all put to death and left to rot in the open field. -
The Escape
Rose's mother sells the family farm and whats left of their possesion and is able to afford a ticket on a train that took her over 15,000 miles to France. There she was able to board a ship and cross the pacific to arrive in America while still 6 months pregnant. -

Great Great Grandmothers death
Rose's mother passes away from cancer at the age of 51. -
Grandparents Meet
My Grandmother met my Grandfather 2 years after high school when she rented an apartment directly across from his. -
Draft
My grandparents had been dating for almost 2 months when my Grandfather was called for the draft in WWII. -
Pen Pals
Grandparents communicated through letters during the war and planned to continue their relationship after the war. -
Crash
My Grandfather was one of two pilots in a large aircraft carrying about 32 US Marines. The engines on the left side of the plane blow out so my Grandfather begins a nose dive down to the Pacific Ocean. He has no control of the direction of the plane but in an attempt to stop the downward motion he pulls up hard. The G-Forces knock out most of the marines as they are forced into a pile of over 30 guys in the back of the plane as it climbs 90 degrees into the air. Both engines die and they crash. -
4 Days at Sea
My grandfather was one of only seven to climb out of the plane mid freefall before it crashed into the ocean. He was knocked out as he fell and was saved from drowning by one of the marines. They drifted on a life raft for 4 days until they were spotted by a japanese fishing ship. -
World War II ends
War ended on September 2nd but he was unable to leave for another month. -
Reunite
After the war my Grandfather had almost no money left. My Grandmother decided that they he could stay with her. -
Proposal
On the anniversary of his return from the war, my Grandfather proposed. -
Wedding

My Grandparents had a baby
My father was born at 3:27am in Watertown MA. -
Cancer
My grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and given an estimate of 2 years to live. -
Cancer Free
My grandmother's cancer goes into remission and she is 100% cured in just 6 months. She later goes on to get breat cancer 3 more times, each time surving and being cured within 2-3 years. -
My Parents
My parents meet for the first time as mutaul friends of my Dad's best friend at the time. They started dating just 1 month later, and within 3 years they were living togther in Natick MA. -
First Baby
My parents give birth to me, their first child at 12:25 a.m. in November at Wellesley-Newton Hospital.
