    The Norman Conquest ended in 1154, when the crown passed to the Angevin/Plantagenet Dynasty. In 1485 the Tudors usurped the Plantagenets in the last battle of the Wars of the Roses.

Each crusade was led by a different leader and the sixth crusade was led by Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II of Hohenstaufen, King of Jerusalem. Back then in the 1228, Frederick'd promised that he would particpate in the fifth crusade as well but he failed to do what he had promised.

    The battle of Baghdad was was conquered in 1258. The Battle of Baghdad was a victory for the Mongol leader Hulagu Khan, a grandson of Genghis Khan.

    Kublai Khan becomes the new emperor of Mongolia

    In 1259, Kublai Khan who was Genghis Khan's grandson became the new emperor of Mongolia and renamed it Yuan which is also known as "first beginning" which represnted him as the first beginner of an empire. For starters, in 1230 the Mongols had conquered northern China, and from 1231 to 1238 they overran Korea, giving them access to the sea. Japan was just 100 miles away, and feared an invasion.

    In 12 74, the ruler of the Mongols, Kublai Khan decided to to launch an invasion of Japan.
    An invasion fleet of 300 large ships and 400-500 smaller ones, sailed from Korea carrying 15,000 Mongol and Chinese troops and 8000 Korean soldiers.

    The Black Death first started in China in 1320s and then was spread in other countries too. it was an overwhelming and distrubing disease which killed millions of people.The plague got to Europe in 1346 The plague was spread very easily around the world by rats and ships. The Black Death got to Italy, France and Spain in 1348 and got to Ireland and England before the end of 1348.

    The Blck Death reached the shores of Italy in Spring, 1348. Back then in the 1351, three years after anywhere in Europe between 25% and 50% of Europe's population had fallen victim to the pestilence. Some people survived the pain and some people had a life expectancy of up to a week.

    Mona Lisa was painted in the 1502 by Leonardo da Vinci. Mona Lisa is one of the world's most famous paintings and it is the most written and sung about painting in the world. The original name of the painting was Monna Lisa as Mona is Lisa is a spelled wrongly.

    The 'New Laws' of 1542 were approved by the King of Spain in November. He approved New Laws to regulate the Spaniards who were enslaving the natives in the Americas, particularly Peru. King's New Laws were extremely unpopular in the New World.
  • Great plague of London 1665-66

    The Black Death had been around in England for centuries but in 1665 the so-called Great Plague hit the country - though it was Stuart London that took the worst of the plague. The plague was only finally brought under control in 1666 when the Great Fire of London burned down the areas most affected by plague – the city slums inhabited by the poor. Stuart England was never free from the plague but 1665 saw the worst.
