Hezbollah emergence
This organization started as a group of shiite muslims. They formed the group in 1982 following 1979 Islamic revolution and the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. Their goal was to drive Israel out of Lebanon and then establish an Islamic state. The exact month and day are unkown. Tyre headquarters bombings 1982-85
During this time, two suicide bombers bombed the the Israel Defense Force. The two attacks were committed by two suicide bombers driving a peugeot car packed with explosives. They ran int the seven story building with the blast levelling the building. The attack killed 103 Israeli's, 40-59 Lebanese, and wounded 95 people. U.S. Embassy bombings
This was a suicide bombing against the U.S. Embassy in Beirut Lebanon. This act was accomplished by a suicide bomber driving a delivery van packed with 400 pounds of explosives. The front section collapsed which killed 63 people. Seventeen of them were Americans. Eight of these victims worked for the CIA. More than a hundred were wounded. Beirut Barracks Bombings
This was a terrorist bombing attack against U.S. and French armed forces in Beirut. This attack killed 299 people and hastened the removal of the International Peacekeeping force in February 1984. Flight 847 Hijacking
On Friday morning, kless than half an hour into the fight the plane was hijacked by two terrorists. They were identified as shiite muslims. These people were sympathetic to Irans revolutionary leader. The flight had over 150 people on board, 100 of these people were Americans. The terrorists wanted to land in Beirut or they would blow up the plane. In the end, all the histages were released, the terrorists got away. and they blew up the plane. Assasination of Abbas al-Musawi

Hezbollah cross border raid
During a border raid, the three Israeli soldiers Adi Avitan, Staff Sgt. Benyamin Avaraham and Staff Sgt. Omar Sawaidwere were abducted and then killed. Lebanon war
This was a 34 day war military conflict between Lebanon and Israel. It was precipitated by a cross border raid by Hezbollah. In this raid three Israeli soldiers were kidnapped and killed. The war bagan on July 12, 2006 when Hezbollah militants fired rockets at the Istaeli border towns. The war continued until August 14, 2006. The conflict killed around 1300 Lebanese people and 165 Israeli soldiers. -
Assasination of Imad Mughniyeh
Imad Mughniyeh was a senior Hezbollah leader and one of the most wanted terrorists of the U.S. and Israel. On this day he was killed by a car bomb. Hezbollah officials continue to blame Israel for his death. Israel continues to deny the accusation. Today, Hezbollah is still blaming Israel and trying to avenge Imad Mugnhniye's death. Drone shot down in Israel
On saturday, the Israeli airforce shot down an unmanned drone after it crossed int the country's south. Mr. Nassrallah says that the drone "flew over sensitive areas in Israel." He also says that the drone "very sophisticated" and that it "can reach all zones of Israel." He also claimed that this is not the last drone to cross Israel.
