    she got Scarlett fever due to the super high high tempuratures causing her to loose hearing in her right ear for the rest of her life. Use to climb out of the hospital crib so doctors but a top on it!
  • Moved to Springfeild MA

    Moving to springfield becasue her Grandpa Evens got a job at the old age home for women in Springfield
  • High school graduation

    Graduated Classical High school in springfield as class of 59' where she would go onto college
  • Graduates College

    After Graduating High school she goes to AIC (American international College) with in a degree in early childhood education to persue in becoming a teacher
  • got her first job as a teacher

    Became a teacher a Homer street school in springfeild where she taught 3rd grade for about 3 years until she had her first duaghter

    Got married to John Makis on July 3rd 1965. They met eachother in Middle/High school and dated all the way through college (photo is their wedding annoucment in the newspaper)

    After getting married they bought their first house at 218 Island pond road, where my mom and her sister grew up (picture is me and my sisters outside of the house w grammy!)

    My grammy bought a hosue in the berkshire as a summer house for my mom and auntie debbie adn for all of the cousins, unforntley if burnt down in 2015

    she found a black cockapoo,who was 2 years old listed in a newspaper ad as "FREE". they ended up getting the puppy who already had a name—benji

    On my grandparents 30th wedding anniversary they were thrown a suprise party by my mom and her sister with all their friends

    All of her grandchildren were born by 2006, with me being the last one. She had my aunts two kids, Brookie and brett. And me and my two sisters, Kate and Jenny

    Every christmas day we would travel to springfield to open gifts at her and my poppas house where we met my cousins and aunt and uncles. There we would always do dinner and play yankee swap and left right center. My grandma would alwyas have red wine which was her favorite to drink. though our last time was in 2013 due to my poppa passing the next year.

    My poppa passed away from COPD (a chronic progressive lung diesease) in 2014, the last time i saw him was at my first communion.

    right after my poppa died my grammy was diagnosed with dementia, where she lived at her home in island pond road for a couple more years till she was put into a nursing home in 2017/2018 for better care (picture is of her asleep in the chair at the home, me and my family always laugh when we see it, this was one of the last times i saw her before she passed away)

    She taught me how to play so many card games that I love espcially solitare, even though the name practically means solo, she would alwasy play it with me
